How do you adjust the master/slave setting for the HardTape cartridge?

The HardTape cartridge comes set as “master”. This configuration should work fine for almost all applications and interface connections. However, the cartridge can be adjusted to the “slave” or “cable select” settings. There is a 6-pin jumper block on the right hand side on the connector end of the cartridge. Pins 1,3, & 5 are top to bottom on the inside (left) column and pins 2,4, & 6 are top to bottom on the outside (right) column. The default setting is for “master”, with the jumper connected horizontally between pins 5 and 6. To change the setting to “slave” you need to move the jumper to connect pins 1 and 2 horizontally. To change the setting to “cable select” you need to move the jumper to connect pins 1 and 3 vertically. (Click here for a diagram)
